In a world where practical skills are high in demand and degrees are becoming irrelevant this man ensures that young people are industry ready through his startup called growth school. Vaibhav Sisinty simply started from a course he made online but the response on that course made him realise a gap and now his brand has raised 5 million dollars. His entrepreneurial journey is truly inspiring!
Vaibhav lost his job twice during the pandemic. He said, “Both the times I had nothing to do with it… I decided to take two years out of my life and figure out what I want to do next.”
While people around him were struggling, he realized: “I knew one platform which could help — that was LinkedIn. So I started to teach LinkedIn to people.”
Reflecting on why his program worked, he discovered: “People said they want to learn from people who they want to become… they saw themselves in me — a regular guy.”
He challenged the education system, saying: “We are taught by people who are not practitioners. 83% of the people who are qualified can’t get a job.”
This is how he built his from zero to hero : “We went to a free logo website to download a logo. We went on YouTube to learn how to make a website. We built it using no-code tools.”
And when the world doubted his startup’s fundability, he said: “I was a single founder. I didn’t have tech background. I didn’t have a great product. I was not from IIT or IIM. But we had one thing that most startups didn’t — we had traction.”
He concluded with: “Look at Nikhil Kamath. Look at Ritesh Agarwal. Look at Kunal Shah. All of them had no fancy background. They made it big. So can you.”
